Exfoliation guide for the entire body

Removing(exfoliating) dead skin cells from the surface of your body is like having a new skin in entirety, leaving you with a fresh feel and an adequate air movement into your skin. The surface of your skin is covered with dead cells. When they die, they don’t fall off or float away. They stay on the skin surface like tiny scales.

 exfoliation
In the same way as  keeping dirt around the house would be a bad idea, allowing these cells to remain on your skin isn’t a great move and it can lead to hair loss, breakouts(pimples and acne), grimy(cracked) feet, and more.
Exfoliating your body of old and dead cells is the key to letting the lively ones underneath come to surface and shine giving you healthier, glowing and smooth skin overall.

The exfoliation process is different depending on the body part. You can’t bring a pumice stone to your face. You will want something healthier than a gritty scrub to take care of each part accordingly without puncturing.

  • Scalp exfoliation

When you shampoo, really go in on your scalp. We mean it—scratch away! (without hurting yourself, obviously.) This will lift any dead flakes preventing dandruff and stimulating circulation in the hair follicles. This in turn reduces hair loss.
Yes, that seems backwards: You scratch at the head, and hair falls out less? Indeed it does; you’re removing dead skin from the scalp, improving blood flow, and preventing clogged follicles. That’s what keeps the hairs so sturdy.

  • Face exfoliation

Exfoliate twice a week, do your face cleansing with a gritty scrub. This will lift the dead skin cells away for the lively, healthy ones underneath. This means you get to showcase only the brightest complexion (this is a good thing—it means you’re free of any blemishes).
Don’t overdo it on the scrub, though. Twice a week is sufficient enough to keep your pores unclogged without irritating the healthy skin that remains.

  •  Lips exfoliation

If your lips are peeling from sunburn or subzero temperatures, buy a gentle lip scrub that safely removes the dead skin while soothing the sensitive skin underneath.
It’s just lip balm, with extra grit. In the absence of lip scrub, Oriflame  milk and honey sugar scrub can serve for this.  You can also make a good homemade scrub from your kitchen ( let us know if you need help with this )

  • Body exfoliation

Keep an all-over body scrub, gentle exfoliating agent, or exfoliating soap or shower gel in your shower bathroom e.g M&H sugar scrub/bath gel. These, do double duty as body washes and skin exfoliants removing dirt and dead skin from the shoulder, back, torso, arms, and legs.

The pores in these parts don’t clog as easily as those on your face, but you’ll be surprised where you can find a rough patch of skin or a random pimple.

  • Feet exfoliation

The feet tend to mass up dry patches of skin more than anywhere else on the body and it doesn’t always manifest as a callus. Sometimes there might be patches of dead skin cells collecting around the ankle, or scaly spots on the heel. Get a soft salt scrub for this task, and work at these patches until they clear up.

Followed by a soothing foot cream, apply it neatly to protect that skin and treat your feet ( lets help you with exfoliating your feet at home).
